Carlos Pereira, known as Guto, is a founding partner of Analytomix LLC, bringing over three decades of experience in engineering, technology, and machine learning.

With a background in electronic engineering and a career spanning leadership roles in Brazil's telecommunications and technology sectors — including 14 years as Director of Engineering at Novitech Tecnologia e Serviços Ltda, where he helped develop hosting infrastructure for Brazil's four leading mobile operators — Guto has built a reputation for translating complex technical challenges into practical solutions.

His connection to biomedical research started with his Pre-Medical and General Sciences certificate at UCLA Extension, where he met Dr. Mohammad Atefi as his professor in Molecular Biology and Cell Biology. Later, when they decided to start Analytomix, he spent years working side by side with Dr. Mohammad Atefi in the laboratory during the company's early stages. He complemented his engineering expertise with formal studies in business (UCLA Extension) and biotechnology entrepreneurship (LA BioStart Boot Camp, Cal State LA), and holds a certification in Extracellular Vesicles from UC Irvine.

Today, based in São Paulo, Brazil, Guto contributes to Analytomix's strategic direction and supports the company's efforts in business development and investor outreach — helping position Analytomix for partnerships that can bring its precision medicine platform to clinical scale.
